AUGUST 2010 Newsletter
We finally got summer underway after the longest March any of us have been through. Its been a tough spring and early summer for all of us in every location, but there are hopeful signs out there with strong cattle prices, milk prices up a bit (with a ways to go before they are good) and the past few weeks of good hot weather.
At Agri-Service, we got our new store (number 9) up and running in Roosevelt, Utah. We picked up the Challenger line to go along with AGCO brands of Hesston, Massey Ferguson, and Gleaner. Its gonna be a good place for us to sell smaller new machinery, and hopefully some of our used inventory. By the way, please take note of our zero interest on used hay machinery deal on the inside of this flyer!
The Roosevelt store is headed up by Dale Betts, who everyone knows as the best baler mechanic in Eastern Utah. He is now the Parts Manager and helps in the shop as needed. His son, Ken is heading up the service department, and is just as smart as Dale (and younger). We also were able to talk Tom Schmidt out of retirement to be our salesman in Roosevelt. Tom recently retired from AGCO and was the National Accounts manager, so we know him well. You will like Tom.
We are pretty pleased with Ford and GMCs introduction of their new diesel pick-ups featuring Diesel Exhaust Fluid (urea) to get back fuel efficiency and power. This is the same system we are using on our new MF8600 tractors which are delivering big time fuel savings to our customers who have switched. The new Nebraska Fuel Tests verify our claims of having the best fuel efficiency out there, and those are static tests that dont even measure the added savings achieved with the CVT transmission.
We also broke ground on our brand new facility in Sugar City, Idaho. We will move the St. Anthony store into this great new building at the intersection of Hwy 20 and Hwy 33 (to Driggs). We appreciate everyones patience as we make the move. The building should be up by the time you get this newsletter, and we anticipate it to be finished by late September or early October. Watch for the party!
We bid a very fond farewell to Callie Callen this month. Callie was accepted into the nursing program at CSI and leaves us after serving as the administrative assistant at our Twin Falls headquarters for the past six years. Good luck, Callie. She will be a fantastic nurse. Her very capable replacement, Terina Davis, will make sure Cleve still takes his medicine and knows where he sat down his cell phone.
Thanks for your continued loyalty, and please look over this flyer for some great bargains. In tough years the best deals can be made!
